Kato went home thinking ‘How the hell am I going to take care of Nyata?  But then again, I owe Keii a lot.’  He sighed heavily.  He didn’t even noticed that he was already in front of his apartment building.

 

He took his keys out and about to turn the said key when he noticed that it was unlock.  “Shit!!! I left the door open?’  He carefully took a peek inside his place, and saw his television running.  He looked around, but saw no one.  ‘Oh my gosh!’ He completely opened the door and saw a pair of familiar shoes.  ‘Huh?’   He immediately took off his own shoes, and walked soundlessly to his living room.  When he approached the couch, he saw a pair of feet.  He picked up his bag, ready to throw it to the perpetrator, but immediately the bag landed on the floor with a loud ‘thud.’  To his surprise, the sleeping man was none other than Ryo.

 

Ryo stirred from his sleep upon hearing the noise.  He tiredly opened his eyes to see who made the noise.

 

“Oi Shigeaki!  Didn’t you see I was sleeping?”

 

“Why are you here?  How did you get in?  And why the hell did you left the door open?  What if someone else came in and did something bad to you?”  Kato hurriedly said while panting a little, ‘coz his heart beat was currently speeding up.

 

“Aaww... you care?”  Ryo teased while sitting up.

 

Kato turned pink. “Why would I?”

 

“Ah...I see.  Ok... no problem.  Since you’re home...”  Ryo stood up and picked up his bag. “... I can go now.”

 

He walked pass Kato to the door.  “I’ll see you tomorrow then.”  Hurt was evident in his voice.

 

“You’re not gonna get back at me?”  Panic stuck, in attempt to continue the conversation.

 

Ryo was holding the door knob, back facing the younger one when he answered. “Why should I?  There’s no reason to, plus I don’t want to fight.  I just thought that we could talk without needing to argue.”  Opened the door, walked out, and closed the door quietly.

 

Kato was too surprised at Ryo’s statement.  Then it hit him again, Keii statement yesterday at Jin and Junno’s apartment.  “Ryo liked you back the way you liked him.”

 

“Shit!!!”  Kato shouted and immediately ran to the door.

 

When he got out of his apartment building, Ryo was lazily walking further from him.  He was running while shouting. “Nishikido-kun!!!  Nishikido-kun!!!!”

 

Ryo looked back, when he saw it was Kato, he went back to walking further.

 

“Shit! He is so mad.”  He still ran after him.  When he reached him, he immediately grabbed his arm to stop him.  Ryo automatically stopped, didn’t move, but didn’t look at him either.

 

Kato was panting really hard.  “Nishikido-kun...” breathing heavily. “....please... come back to the apartment with me.” Still panting.

 

Ryo still didn’t answered back nor look at him.

 

Kato couldn’t take anymore of Ryo’s stubbornness. “Ryo, please!”

 

Still the other stood still.

 

“Ryo, please.  We need to talk.”

 

Ryo wiggled himself free, then walked back to Kato’s apartment.

 

Kato sighed and smiled, and walked back to his apartment as well.

 

When they got back, Ryo sat himself on the couch while Kato sat a little far from the other.

 

“I’m sorry Nishikido-kun.”  Kato started.

 

“Ryo.”

 

“Oh... I’m sorry Ryo.  I know I hurt you guys badly.  We hurt you guys.”

 

“Then?”

 

“Well,... I don’t know.”  He faced the other.  “Can you forgive me?”

 

“I already forgave Pi.”  Then he turned as well to the other.  “What do I get if I forgave you?”

 

“Eh???”

 

“What do I get if I forgave you?”

 

“How about....”  ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me.’  “Ahm... I’ll do your laundry for a month.”

 

“That’s it?”

 

“Ok... I’ll bring you food for a month too.”

 

“That’s it?”

 

“Huh?”

 

“...”

 

“Oh, uhm... I’ll fetch and take you home?”  Waiting for Ryo’s approval.

 

“And?”  Ryo staring blankly at him.

 

“Well, I don’t know anymore.  What else do you want?  I offered everything I can think off.”  Tears swelling up.  He was panic-ing already.  He doesn’t know what the other wants.

 

“You don’t know?”

 

“Yes!”  Tears now starting to fall down.

 

The older one inched closely to him, and wiped his tears away.  “How about this?”  Then he kissed him on the lips.  Just a peck.

 

Kato was surprised at his action, and just stared at the other. 

 

Ryo laughed a little then caressed the face of the other while smiling.  “Kato?”

 

“Hhmm...”

 

“Do you like me or do you love me?”  Tone serious but sincere. 

 

“I...I...”  His cheeks turned bright red.

 

“Well?”

 

“Why do you ask?”

 

“Because I deserve an honest answer.”

 

“You do...”

 

“Yes I do.  You’ve made me miserable, now I deserve to be happy or move on.”  Still caressing Kato’s face.

 

Kato took a deep breath, held his hand, and stared.  “I like you for so long, I don’t know when it turned into love.  Now... now.... I love you so much.  So fucking much, that I got jealous when I saw you hugging Keii.”  His tears fell again.  “And I don’t freaking know why when I was fully aware that Keii loved Pi. I guess I got insecure that you and Keii gotten so close, that all I got from you were insults, arguments and fights.”  Tears kept falling, while the older one kept wiping it away.

 

“I’m sorry too, for all the insults and fights.  It was the only way to get your attention.  You were always busy with you studying and stuff, that if I don’t insult or argue with you, you won’t stop and take notice of me.”  Ryo confessed.

 

He immediately hugged Kato tightly, and the other responded.  Ryo whispered...”I love you with all my life Shigeaki Kato. Please, stay with me.”

 

“I’ll stay by your side forever.”

 

Ryo pulled back, held Kato’s neck and kissed him softly and lovingly.  He responded back by opening his mouth a little to let Ryo in.  Ryo pulled him much closer, if possible and deepened the kiss.  Earning him a moan.

 

Then went to Kato’s room and made love for the first time that night.

Opening his eyes, he felt someone staring at him.  He looked up and saw a smiling Ryo.

 

“Good morning love.”

 

“’Morning hon.  Come on.  We can’t be late to work.  Go take a shower now.”

 

“Why don’t you join me?”  The younger asked seductively.

 

“If I do that, we will be late and you won’t be able to walk for a week.”  Ryo answered playfully.  “Anyway, we get off early, we’ll do that later.”  Kissed him on the lips and went to get his things outside.

 

Kato smiled his way to the bathroom while limping.

Pi and Keii were already on the couch cuddling when Ryo and Kato both arrived at the same time holding hands.  Nobody said anything about it except... “Kato... you’re limping as well?  Did you fall from somewhere like Keii?” Tego said.

 

Both friends turned beet red.  Keii buried his face on Pi’s neck and Kato hid behind Ryo.

 

Eveything did turn out well for both couples. And their member ai and NewS tightness back in order.

Of Magic Spells and Misunderstandings... Chapter 1

A/N:  I made this with too much reading of KOYAPI fics.  The writers from my LJ community have inspired me so much to write this...  My biggest impact was “Before It’s too late” by: ayaryo, “Koyama Keiichiro: Pi-Ai” by:  polyurethane, “What has always been there” by: hizashikage, “Escape” by: silver_rose88, and “The Loneliest Feeling of All” by: kiariyuna.... thanks you guys for the inspiration of your beautiful fics...

 

 

NewS has always been seen as a tight group due to their experiences of ups and downs in their group, and their “member love” or member ai.”  Nobody questions them, for it made their group closer and stronger.

 

Recently, they have been busy with group works:  rehearsals, photo shoots, interviews, guest-ings, recordings... you name it, they’re doing it.  And being too busy means ‘NO LOVE LIFE’ at the moment.

 

But there is a certain someone in the group who still has time to make ‘Love Spells’ to get the person he loves.

 

In his apartment, inside his bedroom, in front of his big vanity mirror is where he casts his spells.

 

                Sweetening spell:

                                You will need a piece of paper with both your names, vervain leaves and a honey jar.

                                Place the names facing each other into the honey jar with the vervain leaves, while saying: “Sweeten up, in this honey cup Yamashita Tomohisa.”

 

 

The following day, he will see and wait for the other to arrive, and see the effectiveness of the spell.  He arrives... but no effects.  He sighs and continues with their groups day activities.

 

That night, he casts another spell.

 

                Win the One You Love spell:

                                At midnight, light a red candle, insert a brand new pin through the wick and say: “it’s not Yamashita Tomohisa I wish to stick, but his heart I wish to prick.  May he neither sleep nor rest, until he grants me my request.”  Snuff the candle.

 

 

The following day, he waited.  But still nothing happend.

 

Everyday he uses different “love spells,” but still no effects.  Miserable at all the things he did, nothing happens.  And due to this, he has become a little pissed at himself.  But nobody questions him, they just all thought that too much work for the past few weeks has taken its toll on him.

One time, during one of their breaks, he went to an empty room.  Sat himself in the middle facing the huge mirror.  Stared at himself and then sighed.  “I guess you’re not worth his attention after all.  You may act ‘motherly’ to everyone, and give special attention to him, but still no progress.  Whatever spell you use to get him to even just notice you, doesn’t work.  Koyama Keiichiro, you are a pathetic being.”  He looked down and tears starts to form in his eyes.

“Well we all know that already.  Ok, maybe just me.”  He smiled while walking towards Keii, and sat beside him.

 

The other was too shock to see his band mate there.  And he couldn’t utter a single word.

 

“Relax Keii, I’m the only one here and heard you.”  He looked at the mirror before continuing to speak.  “You know, whoever you are talking about is not worth you’re effort if he can’t see you the way you are.  Well, I never thought that Pi can be so blind at the attention you gave him.”  Laughing a little.

 

“How did you know?”

 

“The question is, who doesn’t?  maybe Pi?”

 

“Am I that obvious Ryo?”

 

“Duh!  And I’m surprised that you still haven’t confessed to him yet.”

 

“I don’t know if he likes me the way I like him.  I don’t want to ruin what we have right now.”

 

Ryo place his arms around Keii’s shoulder and pulled him a little.  “Don’t worry, I’m sure he likes you back.”

 

Keii started crying on Ryo’s shoulder.  The other, in return, hugged him with a smile.  Knowing Keii, he easily cries when his emotion of the heart is involve.

 

He rubbed Keii’s back side till the other has no more tears to shed.

 

“Thanks Ryo.  I feel a lot better now.”

 

“No problem.  This is what happens when you keep spreading member ai.  It’s highly contagious.”

 

Keii chuckled at his friends comment.  “Uhm...”

 

“Come on, break time’s almost over.”

 

“Ok.  But Ryo...”

 

Ryo was currently pulling Keii up. “Yes?”

 

“How about you?”

 

“What about me?”

 

“When will you confess?”

 

Ryo turned a shade of pink cheeks and coughed a little. “To who?”

 

“Kato.”

 

Ryo looked down, interested in his shoes. “I don’t know.  We’ve been at each other’s throats for so long, I don’t think that he will like me after that.”

 

Keii just smiled at him.  And now, it’s his turn to hug his friend and whispered in his ear. “I’m so sure he likes you too.”

When they got back to NewS room, everyone saw the puffy eyes of Keii.  Kato was about to stand up, but was held back by Pi.  This action was not left unseen by Ryo.

 

Instead of retaliating, he pulled Keii to sit beside him on the opposite couch.  Keii looked at Ryo, but the other just stared at him with expression of hurt.  So he just sat beside the other. Their choreographer still hasn’t arrived, so is their manager.

 

After they sat, everyone was chatting away like nothing happened.  Talking about their activities, and how they will fit everything in their current full packed schedule.

 

“Hey guys!  Since we don’t have anything to do tomorrow....”  Tegoshi was smiling widely. “...let’s go out tonight.  And no one can say NO, ‘coz will be back to our busy schedule the day after tomorrow. Ok!!!”  eyeing everyone around. 

 

Of course, no one can say no to Tego-nyan.

 

“OK...”  everyone said.

At the club that they usually go, everyone was currently half drank already.  Tegoshi has his head laid on Massu’s shoulder.  Massu is currently laughing while drinking.  Keii is currently trying to get wasted by shoving his drinks by the glass.  Ryo and Pi have high alcohol tolerance.  Being friends with Jin, you will be one.  Shige on the other hand, is taking his drinks slow.

 

After a few more shots, Tego and Massu bid their farewell saying they have to get to home and be somewhere the following day.

 

So the four was left.  Pi and Ryo don’t talk to each other.  Shige is trying to stop Keii from drinking much more.  His best friend was already wasted.  But Keii can’t control himself from drinking.  His emotions were still high from what happened during their break time.  So Shige excuses himself to go home.

 

“Guys, since Keii obviously doesn’t want to go home yet, I have to.  I need to get ready from my defense next week.” 

 

“Ok.  I’ll take you home then.”  Ryo said.  He wanted to talk to Shige.

 

“You don’t have too Ryo.  I’ll take him home since I want to rest already.  Take Koyama home.”  Pi interrupted.

 

Ryo’s blood boiled. “Why don’t you do that, and I’ll take Shige home.  I live near him anyways.” Said in a very angry voice.

 

“Why should I?  You two seem to be close lately.  You take him home.  Let’s go Kato.”  Held him by the arms to stand and almost dragged him outside.

 

Ryo watched in shock. ‘Why is Pi acting this way?’   

 

A cry broke him from his thoughts.  He looked at his side and saw Keii breaking down.  He immediately grabbed his shoulders.

 

“Keii..Keii... why are you crying????”

 

“Pi doesn’t like me.  He likes Shige.  He hates me.”  Then continued sobbing.

 

“No!!!  There must be some mistake.”

 

“He doesn’t even want to take me home!!!”  with that, he stood up and got loose from Ryo’s hold.

 

He ran towards the exit with Ryo following.  When they got out, they didn’t notice Pi and Kato getting in Pi’s car.  But the two definitely saw and heard the two running but did nothing.  And went home.

 

“Keii!!!! Keii!!! Stop!!!!!”  Ryo ran after Keii.

 

“No!!!!  Go away!!!”  but Ryo kept following him.

 

Ryo lost sight of Keii for a moment, but found him in a nearby park.  Sitting on one of the swings crying.

 

The other approached with care, as to not scare the other away.  “Keii???”  whispered Ryo.

 

“Is it really that bad to be with me?  Am I really that contagious to be avoided?” Keii asked with tears streaming down his face.

 

Ryo sat on the other swing and looked at the sky.  Took a deep breath and then spoke... “No.  I don’t understand what’s going on, but I will definitely find out.  I don’t get why Pi is acting strange since this afternoon.”

 

“You know, even Shige didn’t talk to me much too.  Wait, I’ll call him.”   He pulled out his phone and pressed #1 on his speed dial.  “The number you are calling is temporarily off or out of coverage area.”

 

He looked at his phone and said... “His phone can’t be reached.  It’s turned off.  He never turns it off.”

 

Both sat in silence.  Not moving.  Things we’re really not going well.  And they don’t even know why.
